Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize Latin America as a region and population marked by diverse genetic admixture, contrasting environments, and healthcare disparities.
  •  Assess how the lack of Latin American representation in research reduces the portability of precision medicine and increases healthcare disparities.
  • Utilize the Mayo Clinic Bipolar Biobank collaboration with UANL as a template to reduce gaps in genomics research and healthcare disparities.
