Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for consideration of a poster at the RISE for Equity: Reflect, Inspire, Strengthen & Empower 2023 course. Poster Abstract Overview:
This year RISE for Equity will host its annual poster session with the goal of sharing your knowledge to inspire leaders in healthcare to rise to situations for advancing and directing policy, programs, and institutional initiatives to expand diversity, promote equity and catalyze inclusive activities.  We invite you to take advantage of the unique opportunity and submit an abstract to be presented as a poster during RISE for Equity:  Reflect, Inspire, strengthen and & Empower 2023.  Abstracts will be accepted January 30 – April 14, 2023.

Participants are encouraged to submit projects highlighting programs and initiatives that impact clinical practice, education, research, and administrative environments in health care.  Abstracts that provide evidence and successful models for engaging targeted stakeholders and constituents and elevating environments in support of health care diversity, equity and inclusion are encouraged.

  • Community Based Programs, Research, and Initiatives for Eliminating Health Disparities
  • Leadership Styles- Case Studies: Lessons in Leadership, (e.g., transformational, collaborative, democratic, etc.)
  • Optimizing the Workplace - Business Change, Leading for Change, Leading Clinical Change
  • Innovation in DEI
  • Leveraging Data and Digital Environment to Enhance DEI in the Workplace

Submission Criteria

  • Create a profile if you have not done so already, then log into your account
  • Complete and submit abstract form between January 30 – April 14, 2023
  • Abstracts are limited to 250 words
  • Complete the form below
  • Signatures required for all authors, prior to the submission being reviewed

Requirements 

  • Conference will provide 4 x 4 ft. display board and push pins
  • Registration to course is required
  • All costs associated with the poster are the responsibility of the authors
  • Authors must stay with their posters during the assigned poster session(s)
  • Posters will be exhibited through 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023
  • The panel will select a limited number of posters for a short oral on-stage presentation on Friday, August 11, 2023

Notification of Results: All primary authors will be notified by May 10, 2023 if their submission has been selected for presentation.  Abstracts will be evaluated based on quality of the abstract, relevance to the conference theme, and teaching method.  Details regarding presentation will follow.
