The symposium features an interactive session facilitated by quality experts and accessible to all attendees. This three-day course provides attendees a multidisciplinary review of standard of care management practices and state-of-the-art advances in care of the patient with cutaneous malignancy, particularly melanoma, along with squamous cell and basal cell cancer. The first morning session focuses on epidemiology, prevention, pathology, surgical treatment, and advances in systemic therapy for patients with melanoma and squamous cell cancer. The first afternoon session focus on surgery, medical oncology, and introduction to dermoscopy. The last two days are an in-depth immersion into dermoscopy for evaluating skin diseases with a focus on neoplasms. Participants develop practical skills that will enable them to be more comfortable approaching patients with potentially dangerous skin lesions.

This advanced course is designed to provide the clinician and advanced sonographer with an update on transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiography as well as cardiac CT and MRI. Management of chronic pain is complex, with primary care physicians and other non-pain management specialists often facing challenges in addressing complex pain. In particular, there are significant knowledge gaps regarding opioid management and nonpharmacologic management. This webinar series addresses these gaps with topics that focus on improving the safety and quality of treatment of patients with chronic pain in our community.

Patients with chronic pain may present with unique challenges, concerns and expectations than patients who do not struggle with chronic, debilitating symptoms. Join us this month as we discuss practical approaches to managing the needs and expectations of this patient population, and learn how we can best care for many of our patients who sometimes struggle the most.

This course is designed to provide the clinician and cardiac sonographer with an update on the basic concepts as well as advanced techniques when assessing cardiac disease with echocardiography and other imaging modalities. Experts in echocardiography will use illustrative cases and lectures to highlight the role of echocardiography in cardiology such as valvular heart disease, heart failure, myocardial disease, cardiac function, and congenital heart disease. This course will familiarize attendees with recent technological advances in the field. New topics such as 3D imaging, strain imaging and hand-held echo imaging are unique aspects to be discussed during the course along with appropriate use in the operating room, hemodynamic evaluation including cardiac emergencies, cardiac catheterization laboratory, critical care units and in operating rooms will be discussed.
