“The 64th Mayo Clinic Dental Reviews conference serves as an educational forum for dental professionals seeking to expand their knowledge base in topics that integrate medical and dental specialties. The conference aims to unite dental and medical experts on one platform to share their insights with the broader dental community, helping to identify complex oral health treatment needs and enhancing success with patient care.
This year, the inaugural Laney Symposium is convened to highlight interdisciplinary collaborations in oral health care to better serve patients with complex care needs. In addition, the Carr Symposium is in its 7th year and highlights dental research from trainees at Mayo Clinic and other accredited dental training programs.
The conference also hosts a lively social reception for attendees to network and share perspectives with colleagues and fellow dental professionals”.

Call for Abstracts
As part of the 64th Mayo Clinic Dental Reviews – the Carr Symposium invites all trainees in an accredited dental training program to submit an abstract for presentation of original research dedicated to oral health research. Projects can be clinical, laboratory, or case report based. Abstracts should be 300 words, please see the link for more details. The top abstracts will be invited to give an oral presentation and compete for one of four awards. Deadline to apply is February 21, 2025. Click here to submit an abstract.
Target Audience
This course is designed for dentists, physicians, allied dental staff, PAs, NPs, nurses, residents, fellows, and students.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize how new digital technologies significantly improve complex maxillofacial reconstruction and patient outcomes.
- Identify how teamwork between different healthcare professionals improves treatment for patients with complex oral health needs.
- Recognize the importance of supporting dental professionals’ physical well-being to better serve their patients.
