The course is designed to empower healthcare professionals to maintain lifelong learning throughout their career in order to deliver the best possible care to patients. Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists caring for acutely ill patients in the ICU and Emergency Department.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the importance of managing acutely ill and injured patients by the standardized, systematic, patient centered approach
  • Review up to date expert recommendation and guidelines in relevant topics from treating refractory hypotension and hypoxemia in COVID-19 patients to humanizing critical care and clinician burnout
  • Describe skills to sort out relevant from irrelevant critical care practices
