This course will review clinically relevant information regarding heart failure and arrhythmias, as well as ischemic, structural, congenital, and vascular heart disease. The interactive, practice-based format includes case presentations of common and controversial clinical dilemmas supported by state-of-the-art lectures in new and topical cardiovascular developments. The expert faculty will present material specifically designed to educate cardiologists, as well as internists or primary care providers, providing them with the most clinically relevant information regarding heart failure, arrhythmias, as well as ischemic, structural, and vascular heart disease.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Identify diagnostic, clinical, and interventional options in the care of your cardiac patients with circulatory failure
  • Describe current interventional strategies for managing patients with valvular heart disease
  • Review current pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and anticoagulation strategies in patients with atrial fibrillation and other rhythm disorders
  • Apply techniques to identify and treat patients with acute and chronic  coronary artery disease
  • Summarize treatment of patients with congenital heart disease
