PRESENTER BIO
Stacy Holyfield, MS, CCC-SLP earned a Master of Science in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology, and a Bachelor or Art in Music with Vocal Performance Emphasis from Northern Arizona University.  She is a Certified Vocologist through the National Center for Voice and Speech at the University of Utah. She specializes in assessment and rehabilitation of voice across the spectrum of voice impairment, including expertise in rehabilitation of singing and performance voice. Prior to joining the team at Mayo Clinic Arizona Department of Otolaryngology, she worked at UC Davis, Center for Voice and Swallowing, where she had the opportunity to hone expertise in comprehensive assessment of swallowing impairment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. 1. 1. Biomechanical function
         1. Review normal swallow function as assessed with videofluoroscopy
         2. Describe important features of VFSS methodology and protocol
         3. Discuss analysis in terms of timing and displacement
      2. Objective measures with Swallow Tail software
         1. Identify objective measures across a normal swallow
         2. Integrate findings from objective measures across 3 case studies to inform clinical decision making
