This course will provide the latest, state-of-the-art information on the diagnosis and management of common disorders such as colon cancer and polyps; GI motility disorder, food allergy, management of new anticoagulants, Artificial Intelligence in GI endoscopy, endoscopy for obesity, new interventional endoscopy; management of fatty liver, cirrhosis and portal hypertension, and an update on alcoholic hepatitis. Course format will offer didactic lectures, an interactive live-endoscopy session, panel discussions and Q & A. Active audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Target Audience

The intended audience includes gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, nurses and advanced healthcare practitioners (NPs, PAs, RNs, etc.).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Gastroenterology:
• Review indication and contraindication to withhold Anticoagulant for GI procedures
• Explain facts regarding food allergy
• Describe diagnostic criteria and new treatment modalities for gastroparesis
• Evaluate upcoming AI technology in diagnostic endoscopy
• Describe the best therapy for your obesity patient and explain endoscopic options
• Evaluate current recommendations and explain updates for surveillance colonoscopy
• Review current evidence of interval colon cancer and how to prevent 

Hepatology:
• Evaluate current management for alcoholic hepatitis, including the controversial role of liver transplantation, and assess emerging potential therapy
• Update current and emerging approaches to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
• Review the management of cirrhosis and portal hypertension
• Appraise emerging role of the advanced care practitioner in a novel paradigm for treatment of transplant recipients of hepatitis C positive donor organs
