Management of chronic pain is complex, with primary care physicians and other non-pain management specialists often facing challenges in addressing complex pain, with significant knowledge gaps prevalent among primary care providers. In particular, knowledge about opioid management and nonpharmacologic management is critical and lacking in knowledge base.
