Pain Management Webinar Series - Pain in the Back

This one-hour webinar is our follow-up to "pain in the neck," we will explore the even broader differential diagnosis for the very common complaint of low back pain. This presentation will include the recommended focused history, examination, and treatment plan for various presentations of back pain, and how to effectively treat this challenging problem in your patients.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Review the anatomy of the thoracolumbar spine with attention to common pain generators.
- Demonstrate “the 5 minute back pain exam,” with key pearls for evaluating the low back pain complaint and red flag signs to identify.
- Develop a robust differential diagnosis for spine-generated pain (axial and radicular pain).
- Summarize conservative treatments for low back pain, and when surgical referral may be appropriate.
