DESCRIPTION
Mayo Clinic Care Network leaders are invited to join Leadership Medical Director Richard Winters, MD, MBA, PCC and Nurse Administrator Susan Cooper, MSN, MHA, RN for monthly trainings to improve their leadership skills within the organizations that they support. Whether supervising a team, serving as the chair of a department, or managing an organization, leaders in any stage of their journey will benefit from the lessons and discussions Drs. Winters and Cooper will provide. Sessions are offered twice per month to facilitate engagement with members from across the world. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
The conference is designed for physicians, fellows in training, residents, healthcare executives, mid-level providers including nurses and allied staff.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify common technical and adaptive leadership challenges 
  • Utilize practical leadership knowledge and skills in daily work 
  • List the differences between teaching, mentoring, coaching, supervising and sponsoring
