DESCRIPTION
Medical Grand Rounds (MGR) is an essential medical lecture series for the Department of Medicine and includes a variety of departments, Clinical Pathologic Conference and Special Lecture Series. The vast majority of our physicians rely on MGR to give them up-to-date information that in turn will assist with the care of their patients and provide them with knowledge of interest areas outside of their immediate professional scope. This lecture series also serves to satisfy the FL Board of Medicine requirements for Continuing Medical Education re-licensure requirements which is then re purposed into online modules. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended primarily for Department of Medicine, Department of Surgery, fellows and residents.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

1. Develop a more comprehensive understanding of pathophysiology of disease and evidence-based medicine
2. Improve skills in diagnosis of disease processes and current treatment guidelines
3. Enhance understanding of appropriate criteria for ordering a specific laboratory and diagnostic test
4. Interpret tests in the context of disease management
5. Cite the latest research and literature that impacts patient care in subject area
