DESCRIPTION
This is a continuing medical educational activity that seeks to:  determine plan of care of patients, including an evaluation of goals, risks, benefits, alternatives, side effects, and potential complications of diagnostic and treatment interventions: discuss how developments in cancer care may impact patient diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and research; discuss guidelines for treatment of pertinent cancers.  

Live-Streamed; Weekly on Thursday from 12:30-1:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Cancer Registrars, Palliative Care, and Research.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:
  • Review how to appropriately refer patients internally with newly diagnosed cancer to the indicated specialist.
  • Select appropriate timeline for genetic testing.
  • Identify how to stage the extent of the patient's cancer accurately.
  • Identify appropriate resources to guide therapeutic intervention.
