DESCRIPTION
Medical informatics has emerged as a new discipline within healthcare in the 21st century. In 2011, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) recognized clinical informatics as a clinical subspecialty. Knowledge and skills in clinical informatics are widely acknowledged as crucial to future success in patient care. The Clinical Informatics Grand Rounds series completed its first couple months' presentations (July - September, 2014) with positive feedback and increasing attendance.
MAYO STAFF: This series is for those who are participating by watching a pre-recorded presentation through the Video Exchange. Visit the live series if you wish to participate real-time. This series is held on the 2nd Monday of the month from 3-4 p.m.
