Title: The Evolution of Public Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic: What We've Learned and What We Still Don't Know

Learning Objectives: Upon Conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate between the COVID-19 pandemic and the 1918 Spanish influenza pandemic in terms of who is most at risk of severe disease and death and how this information affects response strategies
  • Identify 3 examples of evidence-based interventions that are effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and summarize the evidence that supports them
  • Describe the effectiveness, side effects and approved population for each COVID-19 vaccine that has received FDA Emergency Use Authorization
