Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:

1. Identify barriers to deprescribing.

2.Review common medication classes to target for deprescribing.

3.Recommend strategies for deprescribing at end of life including available tools and resources.

 

Bio:

Dr. Megan Potilechio is originally from the suburbs of Chicago. Prior to medicine, Dr. Potilechio worked as a personal trainer with a focus on improving physical limitations for people with neurodegenerative disorders and chronic disease. She attended North Central College in Naperville Illinois, where she studied Biology. She earned her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD school of Medicine.
