38th Annual Geriatric Care In-Person Conference
This conference offers LIVE (in person) and LIVESTREAM attendance options.
This live CNE conference is designed to provide an overview of advancements in caring for geriatric patient populations. Expert panels and case scenarios will focus on telehealth, taking a medication history and sleep issues. The latest developments in Alzheimer’s treatments, wound care, and COVID in the elderly will also be highlighted.
**This conference offers MN Board of Executives for Nursing Home Administrators continuing education credits.

To protect our communities, learners, and staff, effective September 1, 2021, all Mayo Clinic live (in-person) conference attendees must provide proof of vaccination prior to admission into the conference.
Conference attendees must also complete COVID-19 testing within 72 hours or less of the event start date and provide attestation that a negative test result was received OR provide attestation that a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test result was received within the previous 90 days, that it has been at least 10 days since the positive test, and that you are currently asymptomatic.
Target Audience
This live CNE conference is designed for healthcare professionals who care for geriatric patients in acute, long-term, and home care settings including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, nursing home administrators, and nurse practitioners.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify new, emerging treatments for care of older adult patients
- Describe the important role of nursing in team-based care of older
- List three ways nurses can optimize the function and safety of older adults
- Recognize signs and symptoms of nurse burnout in self and colleagues and implement preventive strategies

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cne@mayo.edu.
If the cancellation is made prior to the start of the activity, a refund less an administration fee of $25 will be issued. If the cancellation is made after the start of the activity, no refund will be issued. All refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.
