This course provides education on the role of psychiatry and other mental service professionals within behavioral healthcare and includes topics highlighting how professionals navigate various treatment modalities to address individual behavioral health needs.

Target Audience
This CNE conference is designed for social workers, nurses, and psychologists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- List pharmacologic treatment options
- Outline how traumatic stress impacts the healthcare professional and wellness strategies to improve health
- Describe concepts in civil commitment and clinical ethics

Social Work
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 6.50 clinical continuing education credits.
APA
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This activity is approved for a maximum of 6.50 credits. Credit is awarded only for actual instructional time.

A record of attendance will be provided to all registrants for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies or other professional associations.
