This year GRIT will host its annual poster session with the goal of sharing your knowledge to inspire leaders in healthcare to rise to situations and achieve success.  We invite you to take advantage of the unique opportunity and submit an abstract to be presented as a poster during GRIT for Women in Medicine:  Growth, Resilience, Inspiration, & Tenacity 2024.  Abstracts will be accepted March 13 - July 1, 2024. 

Poster Abstract Overview:
Participants are encouraged to submit projects highlighting initiatives (clinical, education, research, administrative) for enhancement of professional fulfillment and advancement of women to leadership roles in medicine

Specific topics of interest: 
•    Networking for women in medicine
•    Strategies for leadership
•    Work-life integration strategies
•    Well-being initiatives
•    Leadership Styles- Case studies: Lessons in Leadership, (e.g. transformational, collaborative, democratic, etc.)
•    Optimizing the workplace - Business change, leading for change, leading clinical change
•    Change Management
•    Innovation
•    Education
•    Mentorship/Coaching

Submission Criteria

  • Create a profile and log on to your account. Instructions can be found on the FAQ page
  • Complete and submit abstract form between March 13 - July 1, 2024
  • Complete the form
  • Abstracts are limited to 250 words

Requirements: 

•    Course will provide 4 x 4 ft. display board and push pins
•    Registration to course is required
•    All costs associated with the poster are the responsibility of the authors
•    Authors must stay with their posters during the assigned poster session(s)
•    Posters will be exhibited through 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024.
•    A panel will select 4-6 posters to present 5-7 minutes live on-stage Thursday or Saturday, during the dedicated Poster Presentation times. The presenter will give a short summary of their poster and answer audience questions. 

Notification of Results: All primary authors will be notified by if their submission has been selected for presentation.  Abstracts will be evaluated based on quality of the abstract, relevance to the conference theme, and teaching method.  Details regarding presentation will follow.
