Hospital Medicine Workshop Description (optional, separate fee applies)
This workshop will include in-depth coverage of acute conditions and decompensated disease states frequently encountered by the hospitalist, presented in a case-based, interactive format

This interactive 4.00 credit workshop will be presented in a hybrid model (in-person or livestream*).  

*Livestream will be presented as voiceover PowerPoint only.
*Post-course recordings will not be available.

Target Audience

This course is for internists, family medicine physicians, sub-specialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and others who practice in or have a special interest in topics throughout internal medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of Updates in Internal Medicine's Hospital Medicine Workshop, participants should be able to:

  1. Manage decompensated cirrhosis and its complications  

  2. Employ a practical approach to hyponatremia  

  3. Outline common perioperative issues and their management

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests with special course rates at Disney's Contemporary Resort. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of September 16, 2024, whichever comes first. Reservations will be taken following this date based on space and rate availability.  Additional rooms have been reserved at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Both resorts are expected to fill, register for the live (in-person) session to receive the hotel details and link to reserve your room.

As of 8/20/24: both Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are reporting full. As travel plans are confirmed, rooms may open closer to the date.
