LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the epidemiology of HPV infection and HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer.
  • Recognize the clinical presentation, physical examination findings, and appropriate diagnostic evaluation of HPV oropharynx cancer.
  • Review the indications, benefits, and safety of the HPV vaccine.
  • Employ strategies to increase uptake of the HPV vaccine by patients and their families based on published data of barriers and facilitators of vaccine acceptance.
