DESCRIPTION
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Education Conference is presented weekly by Mayo and guest non-Mayo faculty as well as by all of our PM&R residents/fellows (PGY-2 to PGY-6). Topics presented encompass a wide array of PM&R concepts ranging from basic science work to PM&R resident clinical case conferences to detailed clinical updates of state of art treatment of persons with functional limitations. A month-long series of lectures allowing a deep dive into a single topic area occurs up to 3 times annually.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Allied health professionals, athletic trainers, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, resident fellows, speech language pathologists, students, and therapy technicians.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the best diagnostic and treatment paradigms for specific PM&R diagnoses
- Analyze emerging strategies for diagnostics; and
- Analyze management of specific PM&R diagnoses
