Nursing and Social Work Grand Rounds: Introduction to Functional Medicine
This online presentation provides an overview of the medical specialty, Functional Medicine, as seen through the perspective of the Institute of Functional Medicine and based on the clinical experience of Dr. Jacobson.
Target Audience
This CNE course is designed for RNs, LPNs, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define Functional Medicine
- Discuss the seven physiologic functions that can be fine-tuned for health and vitality
- Understand the holistic framework used by Functional Medicine providers to create a health story, prescribe a personalize health plan, and track outcomes with their patients
- Review emerging diagnostics that are used to improve health and vitality
