This first annual course covers pathology instruction and advances relevant to pathologists' assistants and pathologists. Topics include: GYN; breast; head/neck; forensics; digital pathology; research and molecular. There will be specialized workshops focusing on ophthalmology and cardiac specimens.

- Describe the use of shave vs perpendicular margins on breast surgical specimens and its impact on patient cost.
- Identify the future, broader utilization of pathologist's assistant skills within research settings.
- Demonstrate ability to orient complex eye resections and margins.
- Practice gross assessments of complex cardiac specimens.
