Introduction: Bryan VanDreese is a second-year fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic. He holds a strong interest in childhood development, child psychiatry, and addiction medicine. After completing his fellowship this summer, he and his family will move to Madison, Wisconsin, where Dr. VanDreese will work as a psychiatrist at the Central Wisconsin Center, treating patients across the lifespan with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Title: Advancing Detection: Considerations for Screening in Pediatric Psychology
Introduction:
Emily Hilton, Ph.D., L.P. is a second-year fellow in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology at Mayo Clinic. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her predoctoral internship at the Charleston Consortium Internship Program. Her clinical interests center on working with children, teens, and families coping with acute and chronic medical concerns in inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Hilton’s research is focused on measurement and prediction of mental health symptoms and health behavior concerns.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Identify considerations for measurement and prediction of psychopathology
Describe the motivation for screening for health behaviors at pediatric primary care appointments.
