Intended Audience
This course was designed with infectious diseases physicians, trainees, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, clinical infectious diseases researchers and nurses in mind. The content also benefits hospitalists, internists, family physicians and pharmacists.
Registration
The registration fee includes tuition, a comprehensive electronic course syllabus, continental breakfast, lunch and break refreshments.
Although it is not Mayo School of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closing of enrollment; therefore, early registration is advised.
Maintenance of Certification
Two MOC modules are built right into the content of this course, with the goal of helping physicians prepare for the board exam and recertification process.
The MOC sessions are chaired by expert faculty, who analyze each module question, review current evidence and key points, and summarize clinical pearls. The collective information gathered in these interactive sessions enhances individual knowledge and promotes longer retention of current medical information.
