Learning Objectives:

  • Define brief history and indications for external ventricular drainage (EVD) placement and monitoring
  • Review briefly potential complications with EVD placement
  • Review recent CLEAR 3 NIH trial and reported EVD-tract hemorrhage rates, common findings, asymptomatic and symptomatic bleeding

Credit (if available) is announced on the Group Home page.  all sessions are reviewed individually and credit is pulled for any that does not meet the criteria.
