  • Describe differentiation of the cardiac standstill in true PEA and detecting cardiac motion in Pseudo-PEA with transthoracic imaging, and how to identify early return of spontaneous circulation.

  • Identify the treatable causes of PEA and Pseudo PEA:  pericardial tamponade, tension pneumothorax, hypovolemia, pulmonary embolism (or other cause of acute RV dysfunction), LV dysfunction (global or regional) to help guide therapy in your patients.
