Topic: Gender Issues in Pain
Objectives:
-Identify gender issues in pain management regarding physician diagnosis and treatment
-Identify gender issues in pain management regarding clinical presentation of the patient
-Identify pain syndromes that have gender specific predispositions
-Identify the role of gender identity with regards to pain
-Cite opioid use and misuse in males versus females
-Cite management of pain in females with HIV versus males with HIV
