Vestibular Schwannoma Anatomy Lab 2019

On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, there will be a full-day hands-on cadaveric dissection course for trainees and practitioners to explore the surgical approaches to the cerebellopontine angle (CPA)and internal auditory canal (IAC). Participants will have the opportunity to perform a retrosigmoid craniotomy, translabyrinthine and transotic exposure and middle fossa craniotomy with drilling to expose the IAC. Experts in the field will deliver instructional lectures with step by step illustration of the surgical technique as well as case illustrations and pearls and pitfalls involved in these various techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to perform these dissections in the state-of-the-art procedural skills lab on the Mayo Clinic campus assisted by accomplished neuro-otologists and neurosurgeons who are leaders in the field.
