"Frontal Lobe Seizures in a Pediatric Patient"

Learning objectives:

  • Recognize the typical presentation and generate a differential for frontal lobe seizures
  • Review the work up of frontal lobe seizures in children
  • Manage focal status epilepticus in frontal lobe epilepsy

The presenters (nor spouses/partners) do not have a relevant financial relationship to disclose. They do intend to discuss off-label/investigative use of a commercial product/device: Dr. Keating - Abbott Labs - valproic acid (off-label anticonvulsant in pediatric patient); Dr. Christoffel - valproic acid used under 10 years is technically off-label use.
