12 Lead ECG Interpretation

This intensive skills workshop is designed for nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are proficient in performing simple interrupted sutures and wish to build on their skills. The Advanced Suturing Skills Workshop will provide opportunity to practice: hand-tie knots, subcuticular running, mattress stitch, corner stitch, buried stitch, and securing tubes. All supplies are provided for the workshop. Enrollment is limited in order to optimize the learning experience.
Target Audience
This course is designed for Hospitalist, NPs, PAs, APNs, RNs, Allied Health Professionals, Physicians and Residents.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Systematically analyze normal and abnormal 12 lead ECG findings.
- Recognize ECG patterns consistent with ischemia, injury and infarction on 12 lead ECGs.
- Identify myocardial infarction with affected coronary artery distribution.
- Identify selected intraventricular conduction defects.
- Identify ECG characteristics consistent with atrial and ventricular hypertrophies.
- Utilize 12 lead ECG to differentiate ventricular tachycardia vs. supraventricular tachycardia with aberrant conduction.
