The Mayo Clinic Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care is pleased to offer this program to family practitioners, internists, general practitioners, advanced nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists. It provides current information on the care of older adults, including clinical evaluation, management strategies and innovative practice models.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe a pragmatic approach to safe implementation of antibiotics in long term care
- Identify common health concerns in the aging female and management strategies
- Develop an organized strategy of recognizing polypharmacy and deprescribing practice
- Provide updates on the forefront of longevity science, what is it, and how we can counsel our patients
- Optimize pain management by reviewing interventional strategies and medical cannabis for older adults

Location
Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort has reserved a limited block of guest rooms at a special group rate of $309 (USD) plus tax, single or double occupancy, run of house, per night, for course participants and guests. Reduced rates apply three days before and three days after the course dates, based on group room availability. To ensure accommodations at the discounted rate, make your reservations directly with the hotel before the block is full or by October 27, 2025, whichever comes first.
Reservations can be made directly in the room block online or by calling 1-888-236-2427. Specify that you are requesting a room in the Mayo Clinic Care of the Older Adult block.
All reservation requests must be guaranteed and accompanied with a deposit in the amount of the first night’s room and tax. The deposit can be in the form of a credit card, cash, or check. This deposit is non-refundable unless reservation is cancelled by 4:00pm three (3) days prior to arrival.
Housekeeping Gratuity: A mandatory $3.00 per room, per night will be charged for the Housekeeping Staff. Evening Turndown service will be included in this gratuity.
Spa Discount: 10% Discount on Spa Services (not including Retail or Previously discounted services. Gratuity will be based on original retail price of service).
Check-in time is 4:00pm/Check-out time is 11:00am
