9th Annual Mayo Clinic Enterprise Therapy Education Conference For Maximum Gain: Engage the Brain

February 1, 2025 - Internet Live Activity - Rochester, Minnesota

Broadcast in Central Time

This course is for Mayo Clinic Personnel only

Changes in movement, whether due to traumatic events or other factors, can be linked to alterations in brain activity, chemistry, and specific structural areas. Brain activity changes following musculoskeletal injuries, and deficits in brain function may increase injury risk or limit return to prior level of function. Additionally, chronic conditions impact brain regions responsible for movement perception and production. The brain-bladder connection is also crucial for pelvic health. Join us to explore the intricacies of this three-pound organ and learn how to clinically integrate its extensive connections, encompassing cognitive, visual, emotional, sensory, and motor networks. This conference will provide an emphasis on the brain’s role in motor control, the mechanisms by which that occurs, and the mental aspects that are important to engage the person in meaningful experiences for a fulfilling lifetime.
