DESCRIPTION

This activity consists of three series.  All sessions are held in Gonda 18-102 Lecture Hall unless otherwise noted in the session.

  • Wednesday AM Conference - Every Wednesday, 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
    This series is made up of interesting case vignettes in pulmonary, sleep, and critical care medicine with discussions on diagnosis and management.
  • Friday AM Conference - Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Research Conference - Every Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
    The series discusses research projects by various researchers in the division with the goal of disseminating ideas, discussion, thought on the research methodology and results.  
  • Friday Noon Conference - Every Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
    This series features selected topics of clinical interest related to the practice of pulmonary, sleep and critical care medicine, including current literature review and updates.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This series is designed for physicians, fellows in training, residents, mid-level providers, medical students, and allied staff who are interested in the field of pulmonary, sleep and critical care medicine.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify diagnoses in patients presenting with pulmonary, critical care and/or sleep disorders
  • Recognize and explain the diagnostic tests and images used in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine
  • Review the management options for patients presenting with pulmonary, critical care, and/or sleep disorders
  • Review the quality improvement and safety protocols employed within the division

ABIM
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Participation information will be shared with ABIM through PARS.
