DESCRIPTION
The Surgical & Procedural Quality Conference is a quarterly meeting originating from Rochester, MN and simultaneously broadcasting to enterprise and MCHS locations.  At these quarterly conferences, internal and national speakers address timely topics on quality, safety, and teamwork for the surgical and procedural practices. The Surgical & Procedural Committee views this as a critical communication vehicle for updating physician and allied health staff on policy, procedure, and practice changes.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
The conference is designed for physicians, fellows in training, residents, mid-level providers including nurses and physician assistants, medical students, and allied staff.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify quality and safety policies and practices with surgical specialties.
  • Discuss learning opportunities and best practices for safety and quality in the surgical and procedural practice.
  • Facilitate ongoing quality and safety training for the perioperative practice.
