DESCRIPTION
MCF Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Grand Rounds is held every Monday morning at 0645 hours, and will be the only regularly scheduled, didactic source of anesthesia and operating room information for more than 255 providers. Primarily meant for Anesthesiologists, Residents, Fellows, CRNAs, their students, Technicians and OR staff at MCF. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for allied health professionals, nurses, physicians, fellows, residents, students, and all others interested in this clinical topic area.  

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Appraise clinical practice in anesthesiology in all subspecialty areas including but not limited to cardiothoracic anesthesia, regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine, neuroanesthesia, and transplant anesthesia. 
  • Examine new concepts in perioperative medicine that impact our practice as anesthesiologist and CRNAs operationally. 
  • Illustrate awareness of new concepts, research, & controversies in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine.
  • Review the use of outcomes for practice improvements in anesthesia.
