  • Restate the importance of performing a briefing, site marking, time out, & debriefing.
  • Identify the different steps to take for safe Specimen handling.
  • Differentiate between tucked items, packed items, & retained surgical items (RSI) and review the correct procedure for each practice. 
  • Review the surgical services fire drill education.
  • Express the significance and continued need to demonstrate good communication, five safe behaviors, and diversity & inclusion.
