This continuous medical education symposium includes lectures, conundrum panel discussions, open question and answer, and interactive audience-response sessions in anesthesia and perioperative management. It is intended for practicing anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists and perioperative healthcare providers. The medical CME focuses on current information useful for those with an interest in clinical anesthesiology and perioperative medicine.  This CME activity contributes to the requirement for Part II: Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® (MOCA®), known as MOCA 2.0®.

 

Point of Care Ultrasound Workshop (Optional, Additional Fee to Attend)
This hands-on experience teaches providers bedside applications of portable ultrasound. During a series of hands-on sessions, participants practice capturing specific ultrasound views on live models under the guidance of experienced faculty. The hands-on sessions are complemented by didactic lectures to improve the participants’ knowledge of the indications, technical skills, and clinical integration of bedside ultrasound.
