Vaccines for the Prevention of Non-Viral Cancers

Learning Objectives:

  • Be able to give examples of at least three different types of tumor antigens and selet those most appropriate for preventative cancer vaccine.
  • Be able to give examples of premalignant lesions that could be targeted with vaccines.
  • Recognize both scientific and societal reasons for increased emphases on cancer prevention.
  • Recognize the new association between preventative vaccines and generation of immunotherapeutics for advanced cancer.
