DESCRIPTION

This activity is occurs weekly on Thursdays, 7:30-8:15 a.m.  The conference is telecasted live from the presentation site at St. Mary’s Hospital to the Leighton Auditorium in the Gonda building.

This conference is dedicated to coronary artery disease and structural heart disease issues spanning clinical, research and educational topics.  It is also used as a forum for guest speakers on related topics and as a mechanism to provide education for our interventional and structural fellows and allied health staff.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is all cardiovascular practitioners and allied health staff within the Cardiovascular Division, including consultants, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, catheterization laboratory technicians, research coordinators, and nursing staff. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the utility of adopting national practice guidelines in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease in the cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Differentiate types of clinical practice recommended by ACCF/AHA/SCAI from other methods of patient management
  • Formulate clinical management plans according to expert data analysis for optimal patient care and resource utilization in the cardiac catheterization laboratory
