DESCRIPTION
While the target audience is the cardiovascular surgery advanced practice providers that work at Mayo Clinic Rochester, we invite all individuals within Cardiovascular Surgery (physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists).  These sessions will range from PCU and ICU level of care and most often include both.  These talks are recorded and placed in the Video Exchange to the Coffee Talk Channel. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for practicing adult cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiovascular trainees, general internists, family medicine specialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health staff with a cardiovascular interest. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Differentiate treatment options for management of neurological events in the postoperative setting. 
  • Review how to incorporate evidence-based practice into current practice in cardiovascular surgery.
