DESCRIPTION
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Grand Rounds series features expert-led lectures on advances in cardiac and thoracic surgery. Topics include innovative techniques, complex case reviews, and research updates, fostering education, collaboration, and professional development for surgeons, trainees, and healthcare professionals.

Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Executives, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Scientist Researchers PhDs, Social Workers, and Students.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Associate current advancements in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery with current clinical practice.
  • Recall recent changes in surgical science and evidence-based guidelines that impact operative decision-making, perioperative management, and long-term patient outcomes.
  • Compare the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of emerging surgical interventions relative to traditional approaches, to optimize patient care.
