- Examine the basic principles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the types of sequences used
- Describe the basic technical differences between cardiac MRI and the other non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques
- Review and review some common clinical applications of CMR through case examples (cardiomyopathy, chest pain syndromes & cardiac masses)
- Demonstrate the mechanisms for late gadolinium enhancement and the prognostic impact of a positive study.
