  1. Examine the basic principles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the types of sequences used
  2. Describe the basic technical differences between cardiac MRI and the other non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques
  3. Review and review some common clinical applications of CMR through case examples (cardiomyopathy, chest pain syndromes & cardiac masses)
  4. Demonstrate the mechanisms for late gadolinium enhancement and the prognostic impact of a positive study.
