  • Describe the indications, techniques, and potential complications of bedside pulmonary procedures, including chest ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic thoracentesis, pigtail catheter placement, and chest tube insertion.
  • Review the principles of pleural space interventions, including patient selection, procedural approaches, and complication management.
  • Compare the diagnostic yield, safety profiles, and clinical applications of robotic bronchoscopy versus CT-guided transthoracic biopsy using evidence-based diagnostic yield criteria.
  • Apply cryobiopsy and needle-based tissue acquisition techniques during robotic bronchoscopy to optimize diagnostic sampling and procedural outcomes.
  • Demonstrate evidence-based techniques for bedside percutaneous tracheostomy placement, tracheostomy care, and tracheostomy exchange procedures.
