Course Description
This premier three-day course highlights interventional cardiology topics and information with practical application in studying for board certification in interventional cardiology. The course covers basic aspects of interventional cardiology, including catheterization laboratory equipment, radiation physics and safety, pharmacology, and procedural planning and performance. Specific patient lesion and procedural characteristics are highlighted including a review of challenging cases.

For the first time ever, this course will provide a Mayo-created online board examination style mock test that will assess your knowledge before and after the course. Our online educational tools will specifically identify areas for you to study and create an individualized program that will pull unique course materials based on your baseline self-assessment test. These tools were developed with expert educationalists.

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
•    Formulate invasive treatment plans based on patient characteristics
•    Assess patient risk for interventional procedures
•    Diagnose and manage common procedural complications
•    Identify state-of-the-art concepts in interventional cardiology
