Learning Objectives:

1) To discuss the historical background of ICD therapy in nonischemic cardiomyopathy.

2) To educate on the current guidelines for ICD management in patients withnon-ischemic systolic heart failure.

3) To discuss the findings seen inthe DANISH ICD trial
