DESCRIPTION
  • This series is only available to members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.  Mayo staff members are not eligible to participate in this series.  
    Mayo staff can only participate in the live series.  The live sessions occur weekly on Mondays, 7:30 - 8:15 a.m.

This is a weekly 45 minute conference which focuses on topics pertinent to the ongoing clinical practice of cardiovascular disease, continuing education, quality assurance, and research.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for practicing adult cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiovascular trainees, general internists, family medicine specialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses with a cardiovascular interest.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the utility of adopting national practice guidelines in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease.
  • Differentiate types of clinical practice recommended by ACC/AHA and how these can be implemented into day to day clinical practice.
  • Formulate clinical management plans according to expert data analysis for optimal patient care and resource utilization.
