DESCRIPTION
This series occurs weekly on Mondays 7:30 - 8:15 a.m. via Zoom unless otherwise noted in the session. The conference is for viewing by cardiovascular practitioners in the Mayo Clinic Health System. Visit the online series if you wish to participate by watching a pre-recorded session instead.
 
This is a weekly 45 minute conference which focuses on topics pertinent to the ongoing clinical practice of cardiovascular disease, continuing education, quality assurance, and research.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for practicing adult cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiovascular trainees, general internists, family medicine specialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health staff with a cardiovascular interest.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Recognize the utility of adopting national practice guidelines in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease.
  • Differentiate types of clinical practice recommended by ACC/AHA and how these can be implemented into day to day clinical practice.
  • Formulate clinical management plans according to expert data analysis for optimal patient care and resource utilization.

Maintenance of Certification - American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 0.75 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

*An attestation form is required for every RSS session. Forms should be filled out by the individual/s who monitored that specific session. Participation information will be shared with ABIM through PARS.

Maintenance of Certification - ABS (Self-Assessment)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
