DESCRIPTION
This Quarterly Grand Rounds will provide quarterly updates in multiple areas of primary and specialty care to CHRISTUS St. Vincent providers and Allied Health Staff; it will focus on topics that have been identified as areas or opportunities of interest for CHRISTUS St. Vincent Providers.

TARGET AUDIENCE
These sessions are appropriate for physicians, residents, fellows, allied health staff such as RN, NP, PA, along with pharmacists. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe key elements of providing effective care to senior patients
  • Summarize Medical Cannabis treatment approaches
  • Explain why it’s important to avoid prescribing unnecessary and/or prolonged broad spectrum antibiotic therapy
  • Recognize new approaches and therapies available to treat acute and chronic diseases

Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course will receive 1.00 continuing education credits.

APA



Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
